July 23rd Back at the Adopt-A-Stream location to collect some trash along with checking in on our trash collectors. The past week or so the Triad has seen some ridiculous precipitation causing flash floods. At our Adopt-A-Stream location it saw 5 inches of rain in 30 minutes one day. Our main trash collector stood strong and was full for us to empty although our smaller collector had be pushed to the side and the rope was buried under 2 feet of sediment from the flood waters. We still called today a success as we removed around 10 bags of trash!
