Members of Crew 26 went to the E-8 Conclave at Camp Boddie and got to be members of the Show Team. They got to handle the lights, sound, slide shows, and guide the speakers when to come on and off the stage during the show!

Members of Crew 26 attended the Kodiak Challenge put on by Old Hickory Council VOA and learned some new skills as well as took part in white water rafting, zip lining and challenge courses!

Crew 26 took a trip to Linville Caverns and explored the Caverns before heading up to Linville Falls for some hiking and beautiful views.
Crew 26 was asked by IHM to clean up some debris in the woods and we were more than willing to help out!

Crew 26 went to the Greensboro Science Center and saw some spectacular animals including sharks, penguins, jelly fish and many more. Than the crew decided to try their skills at SkyWild which is a Treetop Adventure Park with different levels of difficulty in which the crew did all 3!

Part of Crew 26 attended an AMAZING 2 days at the BSA National Jamboree! There was patching trading, scavenger hunts, seminars, rock climbing and much more!

Crew 26 had an amazing time at Hemric Scout Reservation with canoeing, cooking a lot of bacon, finding wildlife and sometimes just relaxing in the hammocks.

SERVICE PROJECT

Crew 26 worked very hard in the heat and cleaned up several areas on the island including all the spider webs, cobb webs, mud dauber nests, dirt and debris from the latrines, dining hall (inside and out) as well as reorganized the storage shed. Removing old wood and nails as well as reinforcing the back wall of the building as it had become disconnected due to rotten wood.

Several of the Crew and Leaders attended the OA Fall Induction weekend and joined the Order of the Arrow! In keeping with the traditions of the Order of the Arrow the weekend's events will be kept to the Ordeal member only but throughout the weekend you will learn cheerful service and appreciation for the Scouting Oath and Law as you try to add them to your daily life.

Members of the Crew attended the OA Lodge's Fall Fellowship where they got to see some amazing animals such as our Totem the Red Tail Hawk and participate in many games, patch auction and trading and watch the ceremonial dancing, and enjoy some great food and fellowship and much more! One of our crew may have even been the Lodge's mascot!

The Crew joined Troop 26 to Cherokee Scout Reservation for a shooting trip and an amazing steak dinner! We were able to get 3 scouts qualified for their rifle and shotgun Merit Badges. Great job, Crew!

The Crew finished off 2023 with a BANG having a holiday party. We went over all the fun activities and service projects we completed and discussed what is in store for 2024! We have shotgun and pistol shooting and rock climbing and more hikes and backpacking planned as well as Sea Base in the Summer and of course helping complete some Eagle Projects! Come join the fun and help LEAD THE ADVENTURE!
